For all those bulk material handling engineers in the world, this is the first “bulkagram” that I hope will make you all realize how much of bulk handling is involved in your lifestyle, be it degenerate or saintly and how you need to manage it!
Before I venture into this monthly mantra I have to pay my respects and offer my best regards to the Guru of Bulk Material Handling information and education, Dr. Reinhard Wohlbier and his charming and beautiful lady Ute.
Reinhard’s Bulk-Online portal is the Wikipedia of bulk material handling and he has almost all of the world’s bulk material handling engineers following him on his amazing portal. Reinhard, here’s to you and Ute for all that you have done for bulk material handling, all those publications you have put together and your Bulk Videos program.
The idea of using Substack to publish nuggets of bulk material handling engineering information, data and expertise that I have been dishing out at conferences worldwide for the past 25 years came from my daughter Krithika who felt I am doing an injustice to the bulk handling fraternity of the world if I do not share my experiences.
So I will be publishing bits of what I have learnt in this fascinating industry which most people in the world do not know about, especially when you tell them that you pump powders in pipelines using air!
