Industries · Paints & chemicals
Scorpio Engineering BMH designs, manufactures and installs turnkey powder handling systems for paint, pigment and chemical plants: dust-free bag emptying, dense and dilute phase pneumatic conveying, silo storage, and automatic weighing and batching into mixers and reactors.
Installed at India’s largest paint companies and global chemical and construction-chemical groups, across India and the Middle East.

Every plant is engineered to its own materials and capacities, but most paint and chemical plants we build follow the same five stages.

A few of the paint and chemical plants running Scorpio systems.
India’s largest paint manufacturer
Scorpio replaced manual bag emptying at the paint manufacturer’s plant with a Bag Slitting Machine that pushes, slits and empties bags automatically. A built-in dust filter and vibro motor keep pigment and filler dust inside the machine, so operators no longer cut bags by hand and the bag area stays clean.
Global chemical group · Dry mortar plant
Scorpio built a complete dry mortar plant for a global chemical group: truck intake hoppers and bucket elevators feeding a battery of sand and raw material silos on a steel structure, with pneumatic conveying and major and minor weigh hoppers that dose each ingredient into the mixer.
Global construction chemicals manufacturer
A global maker of adhesives, sealants and construction chemicals chose Scorpio for its complete cement and sand handling system. A Roots blower unloads cement from bulk tankers at 20 TPH into a 60 m³ silo with aeration pads and a bin vent filter, while a 20 TPH bucket elevator fills a second 60 m³ silo with sand. Screw conveyors at 30 TPH feed both into a 2 m³ stainless steel weigh hopper on load cells, with de-dusting, structures, electricals and civil works in Scorpio’s scope.
Water treatment company
Scorpio built a dilute phase pneumatic conveying system to handle lime for a water treatment company. Bags are tipped into a Bag Dump Station with a C-Fan for dust-free emptying, and a Roots blower conveys the lime through a rotary airlock to storage fitted with a Bin Vent Filter, load cells and level transmitters.

Most paint and chemical raw materials still arrive in 25–50 kg bags. Our Bag Slitting Machine takes bags off an infeed conveyor, slits and empties them inside a closed chamber with its own dust filter, and separates the empty bags, so no one cuts bags by hand.

Titanium dioxide and most pigments are fine, cohesive powders, so we size the conveying system to your rate and distance and usually fit bin activators or FloPads at silo outlets to stop bridging. Dense phase conveying is used where low velocity matters; dilute phase suits lighter duty and shorter runs.
Yes. Our Bag Slitting Machine slits and empties bags automatically inside an enclosed, filtered chamber, and our Bag Dump Stations come with built-in filters or a C-Fan, so dust stays inside the equipment.
Yes. Reactor charging, weighing and batching are a core part of our paint and chemical systems: materials are dosed from storage into a weigh hopper and conveyed to each mixer or reactor by recipe.
Our installations include India’s three largest paint companies and global chemical and construction-chemical groups. Ask us for references for your material and capacity.
Email marketing@scorpiobmh.com with your material, capacity in tonnes per hour, conveying distance and how the material arrives (bags, big bags or bulk). We reply with a system concept and budget.
Tell us your materials and capacities. We design, manufacture, install and commission the complete system.
