Scorpio Engineering BMH designs, manufactures and installs turnkey pneumatic conveying systems for polymer pellets, powders and fillers: unloading from bags and bulk tankers, conveying to silos, and automatic feeding of extruders and compounding lines, with PLC and SCADA control.
Installed at major Indian petrochemical and polymer manufacturers.

This is the layout of a compounding plant we built: polymer pellets and calcium carbonate are received, stored in silos and conveyed to the feeders of an extruder. Every plant is engineered to its own materials, rates and building, but most follow these five stages.

Leading polymer compounder
Scorpio supplied the complete pellet conveying system for a leading polymer compounder’s two extruder lines, rated at 1,500 kg/hr and 3,000 kg/hr. The new system removed the transfer bottlenecks of the old one, with better dust control and less downtime.
Polymer and filler compounding plant · South India
Scorpio built four conveying systems that take polymer pellets and calcium carbonate from 10 TPH combi dump stations into 100 m³ silos and on to filter receivers above the extruder feeders. Each line has its own Roots blower, rotary airlock and line injector, conveying at 1 to 10 TPH.

Beyond conveying, we build the silos, weighing and batching that sit between receipt and the process, with recipe control that doses each ingredient into the mixer or extruder. For finished goods we add blending silos, elutriators and magnetic separators.
Both are used. Dilute phase with a Roots blower is simple and economical for most pellet transfers. Dense phase conveys at lower velocity, which reduces fines and streamers on longer runs and with softer polymers. We choose on rate, distance and the grade of polymer.
Yes. Filter receivers mounted above the extruder take material from the silos by pneumatic conveying and discharge through bin activators and valves into each feeder, so the extruder never waits for manual charging.
Yes. We give each material its own conveying line, blower and silo, as in the compounding plant shown above, so pellets and fillers never cross-contaminate.
Yes. Our polymer plants come with PLC-based control, SCADA and batching reports covering receipt, conveying, storage, weighing and extruder feeding.
Our installations in this sector include major Indian petrochemical complexes and polymer compounders. Ask us for references for your material and capacity.
Email marketing@scorpiobmh.com with your materials, capacity in kg/hr or tonnes per hour, conveying distances and how the material arrives (bags, big bags or bulk tankers). We reply with a system concept and budget.
